The first activity of NAPS Institute was the publication of a professional book Liturgical Items of Greek Catholics in Slovakia presented on the 11th of November 2004 on the occasion of beatification of Greek Catholic bishops-martyrs of Prešov, Pavol Gojdič and Vasiľ Hopko. The common publication of the youngest author of professional literature, Peter Solej and university Professor of Theology, Vojtech Boháč outline individual elements of Byzantine liturgy. The book was blessed by the top hierarchs of the Greek Catholic Church in Slovakia, the Eparch of Prešov, Despotis Ján Babjak and the Exarch of Košice, Despotis Milan Chautur. The book was published under the moral auspices of the first Slovak President. Mr. Michal Kováč, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for European Affairs, Human Rights an Minorities, Mr. Pál Csáky, and the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Rudolf Chmel. General financial support was granted by the Ministry of Finance under the leadership of Mr. Ivan Mikloš, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic.
The official book presentation was celebrated by many personalities, who had contributed to the successful publication, and a ceremonial liturgy in Old Church Slavonic language at the St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Prešov celebrated by three Greek Catholic Bishops from the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic together with three dozen priests, and accompanied by the Choir of St. Roman Sladkopevec of Prešov Greek Catholic theologists. The book on sacral art of Byzantine Catholics was donated by Despotis Ján Babjak, the Eparch of Prešov to all Greek Catholic Bishops during their meeting held on October 2005 in Prešov.
On the 12th of April 2005, the book Slovak Currency appeared on the shelves of bookshops, which was a response to Solej s debut Overview of the Slovak Currency 1993-2001. Its publication won the author the title of the youngest author of professional book in February 2002. It the book from 2005, he describes in detail security features of Slovak bank notes as well as individual aspects of Slovak circulatory and commemorative coins. The book was published under the auspices of Mr. Pavol Rusko, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic. On the occasion of the official book presentation, at the Bratislava Carlton Hotel, the first NAPS honorary membership was awarded. The book was recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic by listing it as a complementary literature at Slovak primary and secondary schools.
Following the interest of numismatists in the author’s book Overview of Medal Making Craft of the Kremnica Mint, 1993-2002 was published on the occasion of the 675th anniversary of the establishment of the Kremnica Mint in November 2002 under the auspices of the Slovak President, Mr. Rudolf Schuster. In September 2007, the book The Beauty of Enchantment in Metal was published.
This book presents the new-age gold and silver medals coming from the ongoing operation of the oldest mint in the world, and it documents the so called private mintage, which have been produced after the establishment of the democratic Slovak Republic. The publication was dedicated to the remembrance of three official visits of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II to the Slovak Republic to be illustrated by the real gold-plated counter on the book cover. The book was published under the auspices of the Slovak Minister of Economy, Mr. Ľubomír Jahnátek and it was used both by him and Minister of Construction and Regional Development, Mr. Marian Janušek for representation of Slovakia abroad. The official book presentation was held on the 6th of September 2007 at Bratislava Castle accompanied by an organ concert by university Professor, Ján Vladimír Michalko.
The book was received as a gift by many world-known personalities. Among them: all modern Slovak presidents, Czech President Václav Klaus, Hungarian President János Áder, Queen Beatrix of Netherlands, King Abdullah II of Jordan, King, Harald V of Norway, King Juan Carlos I of Spain, U. S. President Barack Obama and Popes Benedict XVI and Francis.
The author Peter Solej expressed his farewell to Slovak money by publishing his sixth book Slovak Crown 1993-2008, focusing not only on information about Slovak finance in modern history, but also on our common European currency and security features of EUR. The book was published under the auspices of Mr. Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, which has steered the country into the Eurozone. The official presentation of the book was held in Bratislava on the 3th of December 2008 and was attended by many personalities, which included the performance of the a cappella vocal group, close Harmony Friends.
Before a symbolic presentation of the book to the Slovak market, the first copy had been received by the President of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Ivan Gašparovič, in the Presidential Palace.
