Ecumenism
Ecumenical efforts of NAPS
The NAPS civic association carries out ecumenical efforts which are implemented through the organisation of ecumenical concerts since its establishment at the end of 2004.
The first year of this spiritual and cultural-social event was held in October 2005 at the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce which is one of a kind in Europe.
The main idea of ecumenical concerts of sacred chants organised by NAPS is to harness arts to bring people together, deepen inter-religious dialogue and encourage mutual tolerance. The event has been attended by performers from Slovakia, Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Jordan, Hungary, Romania, Russia and Ukraine, and it has been supported and endorsed by many international authorities.
