NAPS representatives at the book launch „40 years since the first papal visit to Slovaks”

Members of the NAPS Council, Peter and Lenka Solej, accepted the invitation of the Apostolic Nuncio to Slovakia, Archbishop Nicola Girasoli, and on Thursday, November 24, 2022, took part in the presentation of the book “40 years since the first papal visit to Slovaks.”

At the beginning of the presentation, which was held in the premises of the Apostolic Nunciature in Bratislava, Mr. Nuncio welcomed those present and emphasized the fact that the event is taking place on land that St. John Paul II. also personally visited in the past.

Several authorities greeted those present with speeches. Among them, the Slovak Ambassador to the Holy See, Mr. Marek Lisánsky, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Bratislava, Mons. Stanislav Zvolenský and the Director of the Slovak Historical Institute in Rome, Mr. Daniel Černý. The presentation of the publication, which also includes an address by the recently deceased Cardinal Jozef Tomko, was attended by several Slovak bishops, representatives of diplomacy and state administration.
