Pope’s closest collaborator on ecumenism, Cardinal Kurt Koch, celebrates jubilee
In March 2020, Pope Francis’ closest collaborator on ecumenism, the Swiss Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, celebrated his life’s anniversary.
On this occasion, the Director of the NAPS Institute, Peter Solej, addressed a personal letter to Mr. Cardinal expressing his sincere best wishes on behalf of all members, associates and supporters of the Institute. Peter Solej also took this opportunity to thank the Cardinal for his personal support of till today ecumenical efforts of NAPS.
In 2017, Cardinal Koch accepted the invitation of the NAPS Institute for his historically first personal visit to Slovakia, at the beginning of which he also attended the 13th NAPS International Ecumenical Concert. It was played in the new building of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava in October 2017 and was dedicated to the memory of the first President of modern Slovakia and honorary member of NAPS, H. E. Mr. Michal Kováč.
